The Planning Commission reviewed two applications to fill a vacant seat on April 13. Applicant Tracy Gratto answered commissioners' questions in an on‑record interview; the second applicant, Brian Riffel, did not attend. Commissioner Anthony Lawson moved to table a decision until Riffel can be interviewed; Commissioner Charles Hales seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Vice‑Chair Auguste Zettler instructed staff to keep the application process open until the May 11, 2026 meeting to allow both candidates to be fairly considered. The commission will make a recommendation to City Council following the completed interviews and any follow‑up checks.
