County signs MOU to continue Project SEARCH internship program for students with disabilities
Lancaster County approved a Memorandum of Understanding with Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health to participate in Project SEARCH, an employment immersion program for students with significant disabilities; MOU auto-renews annually through 2031–32.

The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners authorized participation in Project SEARCH through a Memorandum of Understanding with Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. The program offers an immersion in the workplace and training opportunities for students with significant disabilities. The MOU covers academic year 2026–2027 and will automatically renew annually through the 2031–2032 academic year unless altered.
