Iron County adopts IT strategic plan to modernize systems

Supervisor Hiller moved the resolution and Supervisor Haeger seconded; the motion carried unanimously among members present.
Under the adopted language, the County Manager and IT Director are authorized to implement the Plan in phases subject to annual budget approvals, and future budget requests must identify costs and expected savings for each phase. The board did not vote on specific contracting or purchase orders during the meeting; those actions will come through future budget cycles and procurement reviews.
Implementation is intended to reduce hardware and redundant software expenses over time and to centralize county IT administration. The IT Director will coordinate with department heads on migration and training schedules.
