A staff member (speaker 3) told the board that state officials who attended a volunteer recognition event praised the county's ramp program and agreed to award an additional $15,000 for that program, increasing the award from $10,000 to $15,000. "They are going to award us an extra $15,000 in funding for that program specifically," the staff member said.
