Charles Benedict, the vehicle maintenance coordinator, requested council approval to purchase a 2026 Ford Maverick for the Development Services code division using the Florida Sheriffs Association contract. Benedict said the purchase was included in the FY2026 budget and that the outgoing 2018 Nissan Frontier would be reassigned to the utility division for meter reading duties.
