During discussion of the sheriff’s office request, a board member asked why the procurement was being processed as a sole‑source purchase. The purchasing statement and sheriff’s office representative explained the vendor relationship: Lee Barrier said Arrowhead Forensics is the reseller and distributor for the General Atomics full‑spectrum system, and therefore the county must purchase through that vendor.
