Commission approves $72,499.75 progress payment for concrete replacement project

"We replace curb and gutter and things like that in areas where we plan on paving within the next year or so," Snedadors said, adding that staff try to “stay a little bit ahead” to avoid paving roads with spots that hold water. Staff recommended approval and the commission moved and approved the payment by roll call.
The payment covers early-stage construction intended to reduce future pavement failures and drainage problems. The project was presented as routine progress on a planned street improvement program; the city did not discuss revised timelines for the paving work itself.
The commission recorded the roll-call approval and thanked the engineer for the update. No additional conditions or contingencies were noted at the time of the vote.
