Planning staff provided a department report noting a VDOT speed-study request had been submitted on May 12 at the commission’s earlier request and that VDOT confirmed receipt. Staff provided monthly permitting statistics for April—one subdivision approved, 49 pending subdivision matters, four plats/site plans approved with 39 pending, 36 zoning permits, 13 residential E&S permits and one commercial E&S permit; building inspections reported three new homes and other permits with five certificates of occupancy and fees collected totaling $9,450.11 (estimated valuation $1,365,954.12).
Staff also updated commissioners that a previously recommended CUP (CUP2505 for Daphne Carter) had been approved by the board and that a different CUP (Dollar General/Gulf Wind Investments, resorting 25-01) had been tabled indefinitely pending an alternative site. Commissioners thanked staff and moved on to new business.
