City Clerk Cassandra Redd told the council the clerk's office has completed a quality-review process for meeting minutes and that minutes have been posted on the city's website since March 13, 2023. She said technical issues with meeting video and audio have slowed the finalization of some past minutes but that progress has been made to reduce the backlog.
Redd also reported that the office has digitized the FOIL (Freedom of Information Law) request process to speed responses and improve internal tracking. "We are at nearly 500 foil requests for 2024 already," she said, and added the improved process has shortened turnaround times from departments. Redd said the office created an FAQ document to help residents find common information more quickly.
