Council approves March fundraiser permit to help local student
The council approved a special-event permit for the Bleed Green Lancaster No. 17 Foundation to hold a corn tournament March 8, 2025, 6–11 p.m. at CNCC (Colorado Room). Organizer Ameren Hawkins said proceeds will help local student Tristan Scott with a prosthetic.

Ameren Hawkins explained the foundation’s plan to hold a corn tournament in the Colorado Room at CNCC on March 8, 2025, from 6 to 11 p.m., and said proceeds will be dedicated to Tristan Scott, a local senior recovering from a serious accident. "We're wanting to try to help him get a prosthetic," Hawkins told the council, and the permit application was approved on a voice vote.
