Commissioners approve two annexations into rural fire districts
The Curry County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved Annexation 25-15 and Annexation 25-16 into rural fire protection districts during a public hearing on Feb. 17, 2026. Both motions were moved by Vice-Chair Patrick Hollinger and seconded by Commissioner Lynn Coker.

The Curry County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to approve Annexation 25-15 and Annexation 25-16 into local rural fire protection districts during a public hearing that opened at 6:10 p.m. on Feb. 17, 2026. Commissioner Patrick Hollinger moved to approve Annexation 25-15; Commissioner Lynn Coker seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The board then approved Annexation 25-16 on a separate motion by Hollinger, seconded by Coker.
