The Middlesex County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to adopt the FY2027 appropriation resolution, authorizing the budget beginning July 1, 2026.
Kevin Gentry presented the resolution and said, “This is an appropriation resolution for fiscal year 2027, the budget which you adopted on 05/28/2026,” then asked for a motion to adopt the resolution as presented. The board moved and seconded the motion; a roll-call vote recorded all members voting yes and the resolution was approved.
Board members framed the action as a routine final step to put the numbers adopted in late May into an appropriation ordinance that allows county departments to spend beginning July 1. The clerk called the roll for the motion and the chair announced, “Resolution for approval of budget is approved.”
The board did not amend the figures during the meeting. Staff said the appropriation mirrors the budget the board approved previously and that any operational changes would be handled through standard budget amendment processes.
