Board authorizes contract with Leath and Sons to replace stormwater pipe on Meadows Lane

The Board of Aldermen voted to authorize the mayor to execute a contract with Leath and Sons, Inc. for replacement of corrugated metal stormwater pipe on Meadows Lane. Staff explained the work will replace corrugated steel with plastic for improved longevity and said contractors estimated a short window for construction (about three to four days). The mayor noted the project had been postponed at the prior meeting to obtain additional bids before selecting Leath and Sons.
