At its Dec. 18 meeting the Rush City board listed first readings for a package of policy revisions, including policies on equal educational opportunity, employee ethics, drug testing, and graduation requirements. The policy list will return for subsequent readings and adoption.

The Rush City Public School District board recorded a package of policy items for review at the Dec. 18 meeting, listing multiple policies for first reading. Policies identified for revision or review included 102 (Equal Educational Opportunity), 306 (Administrator Code of Ethics), 416 (Drug, Alcohol and Cannabis Testing), 417 (Chemical Use and Abuse), 419 (Tobacco-Free Environment; Vaping Awareness and Prevention Instruction), 420 (Students and Employees with Sexually Transmitted Infections and Diseases), 423 (Employee-Student Relationships), 425 (Staff Development and Mentoring), 509 (Enrollment of Nonresident Students), 532 (Use of Peace Officers and Crisis Teams to Remove Students with IEPs from School Grounds), 604 (Instructional Curriculum) and 613 (Graduation Requirements).
