Board issues proclamations for service, recovery, coding and Hispanic/Latine heritage; honors Dreamers Roadmap

Supervisors approved proclamations recognizing Sept. 11 as a National Day of Service, Recovery & Suicide Prevention Month, National Coding Week, and Hispanic / Latine Heritage Month. The board also honored Dreamers Roadmap on its 10th anniversary and heard testimonials from community leaders.

The Board of Supervisors approved a slate of proclamations at its Sept. 9 meeting to mark community observances and to honor nonprofit milestones. Supervisor Gauthier presented the National Day of Service and Remembrance proclamation and invited Youth Community Service leaders to accept recognition; Maura Ullman (S22) said YCS "engages over 22,000 participants who complete over 90,000 service hours across Bay Area schools."
