Board Vice President Ronnie Gaines called the Temple Independent School District board retreat to order at 4:30 p.m. on March 26, 2026, and the board moved promptly to administrative business including scheduling for the district's planned budget workshop. Shannon Myers moved to postpone the Budget Workshop; Virginia Suarez seconded the motion. "Shannon Myers made a motion, seconded by Virginia Suarez to table the Budget Workshop until a future meeting," the minutes state. The motion carried unanimously, recorded as 6-0.
