Gresham-Barlow Education Foundation funds Holocaust art programs, large STEM grant and community supports

Justin Fox presented the Foundation's update and summarized recent grants and programs. The Foundation approved a $186 grant to Elizabeth Rossmiller to fund two Holocaust art programs and partnered with Tokola Properties on a $42,152 grant (Tokola $22,275; Foundation $20,000) for a science/STEM request submitted by Heidi Lasher. Fox also reported the Foundation donated $10,000 as a title sponsor for the upcoming STEM Expo at Gresham High School and is sponsoring a clothing co-op that served 645 families and 306 people in its last month of operation.
Fox described fundraising plans including a fundraising golf tournament at Persimmon Country Club on August 17, 2026, and a community fireworks stand to be run by the Foundation near White’s Meat Market. Board members thanked the Foundation for its partnerships and noted it increases the district’s ability to provide programming and materials beyond core budget constraints.
