The Taft ISD Board unanimously approved a transition to a Self-Operating Child Nutrition Program after a formal motion; the change was approved 7–0 and will move forward with superintendent/staff implementation planning.

The Taft Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously March 30 to transition the district to a Self-Operating Child Nutrition Program. The motion to approve the transition was made by Trustee Johnny Carvajal and seconded by Trustee Miranda Benedict; the roll-call vote was 7–0 in favor.
