The Wellington Independent School District Board of Education adopted the 2025–26 school year budget on Aug. 25, 2025. Board member Mark Lemons moved to adopt the budget for Fund 199 (General Fund) and Fund 240 (Cafeteria Fund) by function “as presented,” a motion seconded by Alison Strickland and recorded as carrying unanimously.
