Trustees approve resignations and hire five staff members
Summary
At the July 31 special meeting, VAN ISD trustees accepted two resignations and approved employment or reassignment of five staff members including teachers, a counselor, an occupational therapist and a police officer.
The VAN ISD Board accepted resignations from Brittany Owens (Teacher) and Amanda Weiss (Counselor) and approved employment of Leslie Luce (Occupational Therapist), Sean Waterman (Police Officer), Amanda Hornsby (Teacher), Brilee Daughtry (Teacher) and Marcie Hutchins (Counselor). The employment motion (No. 11675) was recorded as moved by Campbell and seconded by Horton; ayes were recorded from Anderson, Goode, Hightower, M. Johnson and Horton.
The minutes note a reassignment to VHS for one employee and record that the employment approvals passed without recorded opposition. The minutes do not include effective start dates or salary details; district HR staff should publish position start dates and terms.
