At a Feb. 9 special meeting, the West Rusk County Consolidated ISD Board of Trustees appointed Nathan Bishop to a seat left vacant by a resignation; the appointment was moved by Vice President Matt Eastwood, seconded by Chris Pratt, and approved unanimously, and Bishop was sworn in the same evening.

The West Rusk County Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees appointed Nathan Bishop to a vacant trustee seat at a special meeting on Feb. 9, 2026. Vice President Matt Eastwood moved to appoint Bishop; Chris Pratt seconded the motion and it passed unanimously with the six members present.
