District facilities update: playgrounds complete, softball near finish; baseball and larger projects ongoing

Brent Stanford, executive director of support services, told the board the district has completed several playgrounds and is progressing on athletic complexes. "Currently, Eastridge, their playground is a 100% complete. Shutman now is a 100% complete, so is Wooden, and so is Shields," Stanford said, and added Red Oak Elementary is roughly 25% complete.
Stanford said the softball complex is about 90% complete with final touches underway and turf nearly installed on the baseball field, which he estimated at roughly 50% progress. He reported ongoing coordination with architects and firms (Corgan and Joris) on the stadium and a new elementary project and gave a target of finishing district-wide facility work by the fall of 2027. Board members praised the progress and asked brief clarifying questions about timelines and next steps.
