Superintendent updates trustees on SLI dates, ACE Grant application and campus projects

Superintendent Jeff Irvin used his report to update trustees on upcoming professional development and planned facility and grant activity.
Irvin said the SLI conference for board members is scheduled for June 17–20, 2026, in Fort Worth. He reported the district will apply for the ACE Grant (Cycle 13), that proposals were being accepted for CTE design‑build work, and that administration was pricing future digital campus signs as well as a replacement scoreboard screen at Lytal Field. The board entered closed session at 7:45 p.m. for personnel and student-discipline matters and reentered open session at 7:58 p.m.
