Markham Public Library rolls out February programs and digital-equity raffle for residents

The Markham Public Library outlined February activities that combine Black History Month observances with Valentine’s Day craft programs and plans for additional spring workshops. Christal Beyer said the library will host a Valentine’s centerpiece-making session next Monday and will offer Easter-centerpiece and other craft programs this spring. Beyer also said the library received a digital-equity grant that funds a weekly raffle available to Markham and Posen residents, offering items such as fitness trackers, watches and laptops. She encouraged community members to complete a survey available in both English and Spanish—online or in person—to help guide future programming and improve outreach to non-English speakers. The announcement positions the library as a touchpoint for both cultural events and technology access initiatives in the city.
