The Ricardo ISD Board approved new mathematics instructional materials for kindergarten through second grade on March 25, 2026. Trustee Rosanna Arevalo moved to adopt the Bluebonnet Learning K–2 Mathematics addition 1 "as presented," a motion seconded by Trustee Lance Hamm; the motion passed with all six present trustees voting yes and one absent.
