Superintendent says OFCC issued conditional approval; board to adopt resolution accepting COCA

The superintendent told the board the district received a Certification of Conditional Approval from OFCC and that the document initiates the next phase of OFCC-managed planning and architect selection. “We got the today from OFCC, our certification of conditional approval,” the superintendent said, describing the notice as arriving that evening.
Staff said OFCC will convene a project-team meeting on Aug. 14 at 10:00 a.m. in the media center with OFCC project staff, district staff and room for up to two board members; staff promised to circulate materials in advance and said the board should plan to adopt a resolution to accept the COCA at the next board meeting. The superintendent and staff framed the COCA as the formal step that allows the district to begin selection and contracting procedures that OFCC requires.
Board members were asked to limit attendance at the project-team meeting to one or two members, and staff noted that further approvals and a resolution will be brought to the full board for formal action.
