Elizabeth seeks UEZ funding for multiple streetscape, signal and workforce projects

Council authorized applications for four UEZ grants totaling about $2.38 million for Julian Place & Railroad Place streetscape, Dickinson Street streetscape, Elizabeth Avenue & Broad Street signal replacement, and a UEZ youth workforce program.

The council approved resolutions authorizing the City to apply for and accept multiple Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ) grants: Julian Place & Railroad Place Streetscape Improvement ($236,890), UEZ Youth Workforce Development Program ($145,000), Dickinson Street Streetscape Improvement ($1,011,923), and Elizabeth Avenue & Broad Street Intersection Traffic Signal Replacement ($988,985). Each resolution authorizes the Mayor or authorized officials to execute grant agreements and accept the award when offered.
