The San Saba ISD Board approved a Good Cause Exception on Oct. 13, 2025. The motion was made by Rusty Glover, seconded by Jake Lackey, and passed 5–0 with two absences at the time of the vote.

The board voted to approve a Good Cause Exception during the Oct. 13 meeting. Rusty Glover moved for approval; Jake Lackey seconded. The recorded vote shows five yea votes with Stuart Isham and Kevin Shahan absent at that point.
