Residents raise access worries for Route 84 construction
A Greenway resident told the Land Commission Route 84 construction could leave neighbors trapped during closures and urged staff to plan canal crossing or alternate egress; staff said the city will coordinate with regional partners and assign staff to address emergency access.

During the public-comment portion of the hearing a resident who identified their neighborhood raised immediate access and safety concerns about planned work on Route 84. The commenter said the planned closures would make it difficult to leave Poppy Grove and asked whether a crossing across the canal could be built to preserve access.
