At the Lone Star Governance training meeting on Dec. 18, 2024, public commenter Mr. Rene Rangel urged the Board of Trustees to apply the training toward district goals and the improvement of student outcomes. Rangel said trustees should "think about the students" and evaluate all aspects of district operations to bring academics "up to par." The meeting record shows the board read public‑comment rules (Board Policy BED(local)) and did not deliberate during the public comment period.
