The Sabine Pass ISD board approved planned summer maintenance projects and the district's summer programs in consecutive motions at the May 12 meeting. Trustee Nadine Williams moved approval of the maintenance projects (seconded by Trustee Charlene Deslatte); the motion carried 4–0 with three absentees. The board then approved summer programs by a similar margin.
