Milo council hears park safety concerns and tables library addition and code codification

Council members discussed the City Park Playground Project and recorded that the playground has been fenced off due to safety concerns raised by the city’s insurance carrier, Iowa Community Assurance Pool (ICAP). No vote on a replacement or funding was recorded; council members agreed to continue the discussion at a future meeting.
The council also considered design and engineering services for a Milo Public Library building addition and the larger project to codify the Milo Code of Ordinances, but both items were tabled to a later meeting for further review. Councilmember Amsden said he would research costs for a Milo planter to place near his business and report back at the next meeting.
