Board approves minor amendment to RISE Broadband contract

The Elko County TV District board approved a requested amendment from RISE Broadband to the district's contract after staff described the changes as minor.
"They said that they had a few things they wanted to change... it's still a 3% increase each year... and they changed a little bit of the wording for the insurance instead of us having a specific date, just that they would provide the copy of the insurance annually," the Treasurer said, summarizing the redlined changes. Staff and the board reviewed the packet language and determined the edits did not materially change pricing or obligations.
A motion to approve the amendment was made and seconded; the board approved the change and authorized staff to execute the contract amendment electronically.
