Commissioners and staff discussed a middle path between plastic bollards and large capital projects: elevated planter boxes, wood fencing and subtle curb changes. One participant (Andrew, speaker 6) described a staff suggestion to adjust curb geometry, saying it is "relatively easy for him to cut cut that radius, and fill the inside, with basic crusher fill," which commissioners noted could produce a more durable, less seasonal solution than temporary plastic bollards.
