Lyon County Approves Mussel Survey at Rocky Ford Bridge; OKs Travel, Generator Bill
The commission approved a BioSurvey Group mussel survey at Rocky Ford Bridge (estimated $24,705.58), authorized travel to the MINK Conference for road staff (Sept. 24–25, 2025, est. $1,500), and approved a $10,131.23 bill to Cummins for generator repairs. All motions passed 3-0.

County Engineer Wayne Scritchfield asked the commission to approve a BioSurvey Group quote to perform a mussel survey at Rocky Ford Bridge and relocate any mussels found. The quote cited $17,568.15 for the survey and $7,137.43 per day for additional relocation, with an estimated total of $24,705.58 to be paid from Road & Bridge Special Bridge Fund 033-00-7601. The commission voted 3-0 to approve the work.
