Ocala board approves several code-enforcement cases, moves multiple liens forward

At its Aug. 4 meeting the City of Ocala Code Enforcement Board accepted staff recommendations on a series of property cases, many of which were handled by consent agenda. Staff provided case files and recommended that prior orders be enforced and liens filed for noncompliant properties when appropriate.
Staff read a list of previously prosecuted cases and asked the board to accept them as consent items; the motion to accept the consent agenda carried. Staff summarized that some matters had previously been prosecuted but that filing errors or administrative timing prompted re-presentation; the board approved staff recommendations, including restarting certain cases and filing liens where applicable.
