Buildings & Grounds staff informed the committee that a bucket in the courthouse main electrical panel failed and that the unit is so old replacement buckets are no longer manufactured. Staff said the county was able to obtain the only remaining part but that the switch panel feeding the entire courthouse needs replacement.
The committee was told an RFP for the updated courthouse electrical panel will go out within about a month and that funding is expected to come from the 2027 capital improvement budget. No procurement vendor was selected at the meeting and no dollar estimate was provided.
Committee members did not take final procurement action at the May 5 meeting; staff will issue the RFP and return with recommended bids and budget implications.
