Planning commission certifies Magnolia Ridge Phase 1 final plat, approves 6–1

The Blake Falls Planning Commission certified final approval for Magnolia Ridge Phase 1 (SDFP 143192) and approved the final subdivision plat by a 6–1 vote.

Mayor Blake Wallace, serving as secretary to the Planning Commission, presented the secretary’s certification and told the commission that "I, it's Mayor Blake Wallace, secretary to the Planning Commission, certify that all conditions of the preliminary approval granted by the Planning Commission on 05/15/2024 for SD 142999 Magnolia Ridge Phase 1 ... have been met." After a brief staff presentation and questions, a commissioner moved to approve the final plat and the motion passed with one dissenting vote (recorded as Commissioner Gatwick).

The approval covers townhouse lots 1–57, associated open space parcels A, F, G, H and the private Tempest Court, with road names and parcel re‑platting noted in the certification. Staff advised that the commission’s role was to confirm that the earlier preliminary conditions were satisfied and that any remaining technical items would be completed before signature.

The action was recorded in the meeting minutes as a formal motion and vote. No additional conditions were appended at the time of approval, and the commission moved on to the next agenda item.
