The Marshall County Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 2026-0023 to approve an amendment to the intergovernmental agreement creating the Solid Waste Management Commission of Marshall County under Iowa Code Chapter 28E.
Chair Jarret Heil said the amendment "is adding the municipalities of Roland, McCallsburg, Maxwell, Slater, and Kelley as members of the Solid Waste Management Commission." The resolution authorizes the county to accept the amendment and perform all acts necessary to become a full member of the Commission as amended. The motion to adopt passed 3-0.
The amendment expands the Commission's membership to include the five named municipalities; the resolution authorizes Marshall County to enter the amended Agreement and take necessary actions to formalize membership.
