Rogers County commissioners approve bids, zoning changes and RCSO range upgrades in routine session

At its June 8 meeting the Rogers County Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved multiple procurement awards and budget adjustments, approved two zoning changes to allow manufactured homes, authorized several change orders for the county sheriff’s range tower, and approved demolition and inmate tablet contracts.
The Rogers County Board of County Commissioners convened June 8 and voted unanimously on a series of routine but consequential items, including procurement awards, zoning changes and capital-project change orders.
Chairman Ron Burrows called the meeting to order, and after roll call and a prayer the board approved the June 1 minutes. The board accepted several bid awards, including the three-month road materials contract 2027-03 (HMHL/HMCL & liquid asphalt) and a 12-month election ballot contract 2027-05 awarded to Midwest Printing at the Election Board’s request.
The board also approved two zoning changes after Planning Commission presentations. Case #2674 rezoned a Claremore-area parcel from AG to RST-60 to allow placement of a manufactured home; Case #2675 approved a lot split with 8.84 acres to AR and 1.12 acres to RST-40 to add a manufactured home. Planning Commission Deputy Director Brittany Senters presented both items and no members of the public spoke for or against either application.
Several change orders for the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office Range Tower were also approved: replacement of a paper towel dispenser with a hand dryer ($1,084.85); running an electrical line to the fire panel ($644.40), to be paid by the Sheriff’s Office; and adding a fire-monitoring system to meet state fire code ($6,986.25).
Other actions included approval of a drawdown request and administrative-services amendment tied to CDBG CV project 18465, multiple end-of-fiscal-year transfers and blanket purchase orders, and approval of a demolition contract for the Rogers County Annex. The meeting adjourned at 9:45 a.m.
