The Calumet County Highway Committee voted unanimously to forward a draft resolution designating April 20–24, 2026 as "Work Zone Safety Awareness Week" to the Calumet County Board for discussion and action at its April 14 meeting. Commissioner Chad Scheinoha introduced the draft resolution and described its intent to raise awareness of safety in highway work zones.
