Board approves routine county expenditures, authorizes Road & Bridge bid acceptance

DeWitt County Board members on Aug. 21 approved a range of routine fiscal and operations items. The Board voted to pay all bills following the Finance committee report and approved a $9,288 quote from LS Mechanical to replace HVAC serving the Highway Department break room and locker room after the unit had been out for more than two weeks.
The Board also passed a resolution enabling the Road & Bridge chairman to accept bids from the Aug. 26 Township MFT letting without waiting for the full Board, with Ferguson recorded as abstaining on that vote. Additionally, the Board declared a vacancy in County Board District C following the appointment of Kristina Deerwester to the Community Mental Health Board.
