As NDOW noted, the rule targets any device "that provides a range finding function and automatically gives an aiming point for rifle or archery equipment," a point raised by public commenter Trevor Marques who asked if the policy targeted specific brands.
The board recorded unanimous support for the regulation and forwarded the recommendation to the Commission.
