Planning commission votes 5–1 to develop updated future land use maps

GIS Coordinator Monique Hassman presented a new address map covering 2021–2024 showing there were 131 new addresses. Commissioners reviewed older land-use maps from 2009 and 2019 and discussed developing a new set of future land-use maps; concerns were raised about completing detailed mapping in time and a simplified version for planned growth was suggested.
Supv Nathaniel Slack moved to develop Land Use Maps; Supv Sandy Schweiger seconded. On a roll call the vote was Schweiger — aye; Slack — aye; Jacobson — aye; M. Stanek — aye; Supv K. Stanek — aye; Wilbur — nay. The motion carried 5–1 (1 absent). The commission scheduled follow-up work and will review progress at the October meeting.
