Council reviewed water department profit-and-loss figures and recommended increasing a water certificate of deposit by $50,000 to bring the reserve to $150,000; members discussed vault inspections, equipment needs and PFAS treatment options including a vendor-supplied countertop system with two years of cartridges.

Mayor Rhonda Hodges opened the water-budget discussion by reviewing Profit & Loss for the water fund from May 2021 through April 2024 and recommending a larger reserve. "Rhonda recommended that we increase the water certificate of deposit with another $ 50,000 bringing this to $ 150,000 to set aside if we would need to pay off loans," the minutes state.
