Kristen Reed, the city's finance director, presented the second reading of Ordinance 2841, the first 2026 budget amendment. Reed said she made small changes between readings and that the amendment adds an additional $35,000 to pay for two digital reader boards; the transfer was split among funds in the IT allocation percentage. She also warned that Fund 35 (Facilities Fund) would be brought below the city's reserve policy as a result of the amendment.
Committee recommended approval and the council adopted the budget amendment by voice vote. Reed said she would be available to answer questions and noted the funds transfers were intended to keep costs within policy parameters where possible.
