The Cairo Board of Directors voted unanimously Jan. 13 to proceed with a codification proposal from General Code to update and codify the village's ordinances. Trustee Megan Brumley made the motion, which was seconded by Trustee Chris Zike; the minutes record the motion carried on a voice vote with all board members voting in favor.
