The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors on Sept. 4 approved a special-use-permit amendment to allow a modular classroom at CrossLife Community Church to house Community Christian Academy’s middle school. The applicant and school leaders described an urgent need: the school currently operates its middle grades at a leased site with only short-term lease extensions, and a modular unit on the church property will permit consolidation for the coming school year while a permanent solution is planned.
