The Klamath County School District Board approved revisions to the Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook and accepted updates to the Athletic and Activities handbooks during its June 18 meeting. Steve Lowell moved to approve the Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook revisions (seconded by Marc Staunton), and separate motions to adopt Athletic and Activities handbook revisions were also approved unanimously.
Director of Human Resources Jamie Ongman reviewed the handbook changes to athletics and activities in the meeting packet, and Director of Elementary Curriculum Dr. Doris Ellison presented separate academic reports. The motions were recorded in the minutes as: "I move we approve the revisions to the Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook as presented." The revised handbooks will appear in district materials for the coming school year.
