The Pendleton School District reported a 4‑Year Cohort graduation rate of 89.7% for 2024‑25, up 6 percentage points from the prior year and 6.7 points higher than the Oregon state average, the board heard on Feb. 9. "The 2024-25 Pendleton School District graduation rate is 89.7%, which is up 6% from last year," Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Matt Yoshioka reported.
Yoshioka told the board that improvement appeared across nearly every demographic subgroup and highlighted a "dramatic rise" in graduation rates for students with disabilities, which now match the district‑wide average. He credited several contributing factors: focused 9th Grade interventions, expanded career‑technical education (CTE) course offerings, targeted supports for students with disabilities, strategic dropout prevention work, integrated support systems and credit recovery options. Mr. Yoshioka was available for questions but no formal motion was required.
